OK-META Metarhizium anisopliaeis an entomopathogenic fungus that infects insects that come in contactwith it.once the fungus spores attach to the surface of the insect,germinate and begin to grow,they then  penetrate the exoskeleton of the insect and grow very rapidly inside the insectcausing the insect to die.other insects that come in contact with infected insects also become infected with the fungus.

MODE OF ACTION

The OK-META spores of this fungs when come in contact with the cuticle(skin) of susceptible insects,they germinate and grow directly through the cuticle to the inner body of their host.The fungus proliferates throughout the insects body and draining the insects of nutrients,eventually killing it.

TARGET PESTS

Root weevils,plant hoppers japanese beetle,Black vine weevil,Spittlebug and white grubs.

APPLICATION METHODS

Foliar application :The product should be sprayed on growing plants using hand,ground or aerial equipment .soil application (for root grubs);Bacillus thuringiensis can be sprinkled around the root-Zone and incorporated into the soil either mechanically or through watering the plant.

FREQUENCY OF APPLICATION

The frequency of application also depends on the pest and the crop:for greenhouse pest problems application once in every 15-20 days are recommended.

SOIL APPLICATION

OK META Apply 1 Liter/acre(or) 2 kgs of powder agter mixing it throughly in well decomposed organic matter,can be applied as band placement /side dress application at the time of planting or during early stages of the cropping.

PREPARATION OF SPRAY SOLUTION

Suspend OK-META (@1 Liter/acre (or) 2 kgs of powder ) in a clean dry container and add water (20 Liters ).Stir the contents well and make up to the final spray volume(500 Liters) with water.
